Thomas Masi, General Manager
Tom Masi joined Carpenter’s Music World in April 2008. Tom was drawn to Carpenter’s because of its long history serving the music needs of this community and the one-of-a-kind nature of the store’s owner, Wendell Carpenter.
Tom has a rich background both in musical performance, store management and store ownership. During a 25-year performing career, Tom’s jazz and rhythm and blues piano playing took him all over the US. Tom has managed stores in some large markets including Monterey, Kansas City and Sacramento and owned his own piano store in Bakersfield, California.
Like his boss, Wendell Carpenter, Tom began his musical education on the accordion at a tender age and later discovered his real passion, the piano and organ. Tom attended the Dick Grove Conservatory of Music in Hollywood, California. He enjoys all styles of music, but is a particular fan of contemporary jazz and R&B.
